How we work
A clear process. A shared direction.
Velox Tech’s development process connects discovery, requirements and planned iterations with verification and handover, supported by LEAN practices and measurable learning.

Velox Tech · How we work
Six stages. One continuous conversation.
A visible, controlled route from the real need to a documented handover. LEAN practices keep customer value, measurable learning and continuous improvement at the heart of each development iteration. Select a step to explore roles, expectations and deliverables.

- Your role
- Show us the work where it happens. Bring users and decision-makers into the conversation and share the background, constraints and current pain points.
- Velox’s role
- Visit the actual place, observe the work and study the current situation. Capture the background in an A3 problem definition and explore the ideal situation before proposing a solution.
- Shared expectations
- A shared understanding of the problem, operating context and customer value, with direct access to the people involved.
- Deliverables
- A3 problem definition, current and ideal situations, initial scope and risks, and a shared statement of success.

Define
Turn the need into measurable requirements.
- Your role
- Prioritize needs, clarify interfaces and agree measurable acceptance criteria. Identify which gaps matter most and what a minimum viable product or experiment should demonstrate.
- Velox’s role
- Build the Product Requirements Specification. Identify gaps between the current and ideal situations, rank problems by customer value and define critical success factors. Map the value stream and compare alternative solutions by effort.
- Shared expectations
- Agreed requirements, a measurable goal and a shared understanding of the most valuable problems to address first.
- Deliverables
- Product Requirements Specification, acceptance criteria, prioritized problem list, value stream map, critical success factors and a minimum viable product or experiment definition.
Plan
Agree scope, responsibilities and a visible path.
- Your role
- Confirm priorities, budget, decision-makers and availability for reviews. Agree the work and inputs needed for the next iteration.
- Velox’s role
- Select solutions for the iteration, estimate effort and assign one accountable owner and deadline to each task. Define the data to gather and what we intend to learn, alongside milestones and review points.
- Shared expectations
- A written plan with cost visibility, clear responsibilities and controlled changes. Iterations normally last one week and never more than four weeks.
- Deliverables
- Project and iteration plans, task owners, deadlines, effort estimates, review schedule, data collection plan and learning objectives.
Iterate
Develop, demonstrate and learn together.
- Your role
- Join demonstrations, evaluate prototypes in context and provide timely, consolidated feedback. Agree changes to priorities, scope, cost or timing.
- Velox’s role
- Build and integrate in accordance with the written iteration plan. Gather the planned data and record observations, unexpected events and additional tasks. Use findings to update the problem list, reassess value and effort, and propose the next iteration.
- Shared expectations
- Visible progress, documented decisions and an explicit decision on whether to iterate again, focusing on the problems that deliver the most customer value.
- Deliverables
- Working increments, prototypes, demonstration records, collected data, observation notes, updated priorities and controlled change requests.
Verify
Prove the solution against agreed requirements.
- Your role
- Provide representative operating conditions, participate in acceptance testing and review whether the results meet the intended goal.
- Velox’s role
- Test against the agreed requirements and analyze iteration data and notes. Resolve defects, capture lessons and identify what we would do differently. Review the new situation and revisit requirements if the ideal situation has changed.
- Shared expectations
- Acceptance based on evidence, with remaining gaps and limitations recorded. Findings inform further iterations and any agreed changes to the goal.
- Deliverables
- Test reports, acceptance evidence, results analysis, lessons learned, updated risks and technical documentation.
Handover
Transfer the deliverables and prepare for use.
- Your role
- Review the delivery package, nominate maintainers and confirm acceptance and any agreed support needs.
- Velox’s role
- Hand over customer-developed parts, source code, designs, documentation and associated ownership rights. Explain operation and maintenance, and carry forward relevant lessons and any agreed remaining actions.
- Shared expectations
- A complete, usable handover with third-party licences, ongoing responsibilities and any follow-up work clearly identified.
- Deliverables
- Final parts and software, source repositories, design files, documentation, ownership handover, agreed training and a record of remaining actions.
